One to Ones
We would love to see many people at Evening Church involved in one-to-one ministries with each other. That would mean having people meet regularly to read God’s word and pray with each other.
To that end we’ve created a form that you can fill in and we will find you someone to read with, and we have given you a step by step guide to doing a one-to-one below.

How to do a one-to-one?
This is only intended as a guide - if you want to try something different please do. We just want people in community in the word and praying.
What to read?
If you have never done this before can we recommend reading through Ephesians from start to end. (Seeing as we are doing Ephesians 1 at the moment!)
Week 1 – Ephesians 1:1-14
Week 2 – Ephesians 1:15-23
Week 3 – Ephesians 2:1-10
Week 4 – Ephesians 2:11-22
Week 5 – Ephesians 3:1-13
Week 6 – Ephesians 3:14-21
Week 7 – Ephesians 4:17-24
Week 8 – Ephesians 4:25-5:2
Week 9 – Ephesians 5:3-20
Week 10 – Ephesians 5:21-6:9
Week 11 – Ephesians 6:10-24
What to do when you meet? (For Ephesians)
Plan to have 1-1.5 hours together at a place you can concentrate (e.g. cafe, home, church building). Then you can do the following:
Spend some time catching up
Pray and read the passage
Spend some time thinking about the passage:
What comments, questions and observations do I have?
What is being said about Jesus Christ?
What should the Ephesians ‘in Christ’ do?
What is the main idea of the passage?
Spend some time applying the passage to your lives:
What should the person ‘in Christ’ believe and do because of this?
What can I pray about because of this (thanks, sorry, please)?
Pray in light of the passage and for each other’s lives.
