We believe that Jesus Christ, who was born, grew up, and lived as a man in Palestine some 2000 years ago, is the most important person in history, and absolutely vital both for life today and into eternity.
Jesus Christ
Fully God and fully human, Jesus was perfectly obedient to God his Father. In his death he took on all the consequences of our human rebellion against God - its guilt, penalty, and power. But on the third day he rose from the dead, is now Lord over all, and will return in the future as Judge of the world.
Salvation is God’s gift to everyone who turns away from sin and puts their trust in Jesus Christ. This is something that all people can do - men, women, boys, and girls, from any and every nation and culture.
NCACHURCH
At NCAChurch, we want to make this news about Jesus understandable for everyone. Across a Sunday, we have 5 different congregations as well as specialist groups for children and youth. Most of these also have other times in the week when they meet, like NCAYouth on Friday nights, NCAKids Club, or weekly adult Bible Study Groups.
At our Sunday congregations, we focus on clear and practical Bible teaching, powerful praying, joyful singing, and meaningful fellowship.
What we believe
As a reformed, evangelical church, NCAChurch draws its teaching from the Bible and in line with Anglican tradition expressed in the 39 Articles, The Book of Common Prayer and the Creeds.
A briefer expression of the fundamental truths we uphold can be found in the doctrinal statement of the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students:
//The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
//The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
//The universal sinfulness and guilt of humanity since the fall, rendering men and women subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
//The conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and his birth by the virgin Mary.
//Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
//The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
//The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him or her repentance towards God, and faith in Jesus Christ.
//The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
//The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
